Gem Forest Case Study | Nios Media
Gem Forest, Nairobi
Hotel · Nairobi

A new hotel page, in front of 1.3 million people.

About the project

Gem Forest is a luxury boutique hotel in Nairobi, part of Accor's MGallery collection. A genuinely special property with real demand from international and corporate travellers, and a social presence that reflected almost none of it.

The challenge

They came to us straight off a previous agency. The posting was regular, but nothing landed: barely any engagement, no conversations, and a feed that showed rooms and interiors like a catalogue.

A five-star hotel that, on the grid, read closer to a furniture showroom than a place worth flying in for. Beautiful spaces, zero feeling, and none of the experience that actually makes someone book.

Our approach

We rebuilt the content around the experience, not the inventory. A video-first engine: hooks built to stop the scroll, storytelling that sells the feeling of staying there, and comment-to-DM automation that turns a view into a conversation.

Native to the feed, never corporate. Posted aggressively, then refined on the data every single month so the page got sharper as it grew.

The results

From a near-standing start, in under three months the page went from invisible to one of the most-seen new hotel accounts in the city. Then the hotel's own numbers started moving. In the figures the hotel reported to us, monthly F&B revenue across its three outlets grew 25% between April and June, with covers up 10%, and monthly spa revenue grew 49% in the same window, with treatments up 56%. A single sponsored staycation campaign generated over 25 WhatsApp enquiries on its own. And on our monthly call, management reported occupancy up 15% since we started, still rising month on month.

The work got noticed beyond Nairobi too: MGallery's regional brand team highlighted one of our reels as among the strongest examples of brand content in the region.

Revenue, covers and spa figures are the hotel's own reported data, April to June 2026, shared with us in writing. Occupancy is as reported by hotel management on our monthly call, since takeover. Reach and engagement are account analytics, April to June 2026, across 40 reels, and include paid promotion. A real client account; results vary by property and are never guaranteed.
